   WELCOME

To learn to know our Guineapigs.

This page is about our sweet Guineapig Viking.

He was one of my son Hampus' Guineapigs

OUR GUINEAPIG

Viking

To start with I'll introduce myself.

My name is Viking, and I'm a 1 year old

abessinier guineapig. My colour is black and brown.

I arrived to my family in August, a year ago.

I just love salad and watermelon.

But carrots and cucumber are okey too.

My owner is a boy named Hampus,

and he is nearly 11 years, he sais.

I use to sleep in his bed and I just love it.

It's always warm and cosy there.

And most of all, I don't have to sleep alone.

I'm a little bit curious and I find it exciting to

strawl around in  my familys house.

Because do know one thing?

Everytime at my strawl I found

something to eat at the floor.

It could be vegetables, fruit or other food.

It's like going on a treasure hunt. It's very fun!

But most of all I love to stay outside.

But unfortunate it's not possible in the whole year.

My owner sais that it's cold outside and snow,

but I'don't know what that means.

I just adore the sun , and I never want to

get inside as I once get outside.

I've tried many things to stay outside.

For example to run away. Hide in the bushes, bite,

but nothing works.

So I guess I've to get inside when my owner decides.

Another thing that's good when I'm

outside is that there is a lot of kids who want to pet me,

hold me and feed me. They are very nice.

And I think it's important for them to

meet me outside, because if they didn't

they would never learn to know me.

This summer I have learned something new.

To jump !!! Do You think that's funny eh?

Well if You laugh, then do so because anyway

I'm very good in jumping !

For Your knowledge I can tell You that

the world record for a Guineapig is 15 cm?

And I manage to jump 11 cm.

That's close, don't You think ???

And I like it!

This part of the year, the summer,

I can eat as much grass as I possible can.

But most of the year I've to eat

something else, I think it's called hay.

That taste okay, but not as good as

green green grass!
